Arlington Heights resident, with wife Joan, for more than 30 years. They have one son.  Active father and community  volunteer.

Decorated Vietnam veteran and veterans' advocate.

Served as state representative from 2009-2011. Areas of focus included budget reform, procurement reform and supporting small business. Elected to the Illinois House of Representatives again in 2018 and currently serves on the  the following committees:

Management expert and entrepreneur with a long career in financial services, community development and quality consulting.

Former board member and treasurer for Journeys-The Road Home, an organization serving homeless individuals and families.
